¬†Ecclesiastes 11:6 “Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.”

I’ve seen many people put all their hope in one thing only to have their hopes crushed when it floundered. I’ve seen others with options succeed in other areas when something else floundered.

When you plant a garden, you hope that everything grows but the reality is that everything might not; but still you sow.

My granddaddy planted a garden every year and worked at the factory. He made sure his family was fed in two ways. We have to do the same today.

1. Sow seeds. The seeds represent investments in your future. We have to invest our time, talent, and treasure in a way that ensures we will have a treasure tomorrow. Whether that is pursuing higher education, investing your money, or starting a business, we must scatter seed.

2. Find something for your hands to do. Each of us has a skill or gift that God has given us. If you don’t use it, you lose it. While you are waiting for your seed to grow, you can still use your hands.

3. Both might work or just one. Don’t give up when something doesn’t grow but thank God for the other options that are doing well. You have to have more than just one thing.

You can get with this or you can get with that but having options, that is where it’s at!

Dear God,

Thank you for giving me so many options to prosper! I have some seeds in the ground and I’m expecting a harvest. Bless the work of my hands and everything I do I pray you would breathe on them and make me successful!

In Jesus Name,
