Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no understanding of the Word of the Lord, the people do whatever they want to, but happy is he who keeps the law.

Where there is no Vision the people perish. A young man asked me yesterday, “Have you ever felt lost?” I told him, “Plenty of times!” We all lose our way sometimes. That’s why it’s important to have vision even when you don’t have sight. Vision is the ability to comprehend a desired state as revealed by God. Sight is seeing what is in front of you. Ray Charles didn’t have sight but he was a man of great vision. One of the first African American artists to own his own masters during a racially unequal playing field. Without vision we perish.

1.  The beginning of wisdom or vision is the fear of the Lord. When we revere God and listen to what he says we will receive a revelation as to his vision for our lives.

2.  God’s word is his blueprint for our lives. David said, “God’s word is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my pathway.” God’s word illuminates the path we should take and which direction we should go.

3.  Without God’s word we do what we want to do and we perish. There is a way that seems right to a man or woman but in the end it leads to death. We cannot lean to our own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge God and he will direct your path!

Dear God,

Order my steps in your word dear Lord. Lead me, guide me every day. Send your anointing Father I pray. Give us a clear understanding of your word in a world that is lost. In a world of chaos and hedonistic agendas give us order through your word. If you grant us vision we will make it to the desired destination that you have pre-ordained for us to get to. Thank you for granting me this moment of clarity before I begin my day and walk your way.

In Jesus Name,
