Isaiah 60:1-2 “Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see.For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you. Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you.
I used to love it when I heard my mother’s voice awaken me in the morning, “Rise and Shine!” She would pull back the curtains to reveal the beauty of another day and remind me to take advantage of that day. Prior to that I had given into the darkness of the night until I was reminded by my mother that it’s time to rise and shine.
It’s your time to rise and shine. I know things have been dark around you but God wants to showcase the light inside of you. Even though it’s dark everywhere else, God is getting ready to shine the spotlight on you but first you must rise and shine.
1. Get out of the bed! Your bed represents the place where you are comfortable and complacent. God is challenging you to get out of your comfort zone so that you can see the transformation he wants to accomplish through you.
2. Let your light shine for all to see. God has given you a light. It’s something that sets you apart from everybody else but also contributes to a collective Glory shared by all believers. Get up and shine your light today. Instead of cursing the darkness shine your light.
3. The Glory of The Lord rises to shine on you. God is about to get some Glory out of your life. The thing that God does next in your life will be for all to see and prove to them that God is still sovereign over your life.
God is about to shine his Glory over your life. It’s not because of anything you’ve done but it’s because of what he wants to accomplish in your life. It’s time to stop feeling sorry for yourself and instead Rise and Shine!
I thank you for giving me the chance to reflect your Glory. I’m honored that you would use me as a reflector of your goodness. Get Glory out of my life today I pray!
In Jesus Name,
