7191778_sPsalm 107:1 “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.”

I’ve got so much to thank God for…so many blessings and so many open doors.

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on just how good God has been in our lives. I can remember as a boy going over to my great grandfather’s house sitting around the table eating chicken and dumplings in a house the size of my great room but the love we shared was greater than the size of the house. Whether you’re in a one-room apartment or a house full of people you’ve got so much to thank God for.

  1. Thank God for a reasonable portion of health and strength. The other night I went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with acute bronchitis. I’m still coughing today but I’m grateful that I’m better than I was yesterday and I’m going to spend time with my family.
  2. Thank God for loved ones. There is no such thing as a perfect family. We are all like a quilt with different pieces of material, but when we come together all these different shapes and colorful pieces keep us warm and covered.
  3. Thank God for provision. Whether you have a turkey and a table full of food or just a turkey sandwich; give God praise for providing all year long for you and your family.
  4. Being clothed and in my right mind. God has kept you through all the craziness in your life without you losing your mind. Thank him today for keeping you in perfect peace as your mind was stayed on him.

There’s so much to thank God for that I could go on and on but just take the time today to look around you at the people you love the most, look behind you to see where he brought you from, and look up to God and thank him for all he’s done.

Dear God,

Thank you for blessing me over and over again. You have been amazing! If I had ten thousand tongues I could not thank you enough for all you’ve done. Bless those today that don’t feel like they have anything to be grateful for. Let them know that you blessed them to be alive and that greater is coming!

In Jesus Name,
