“O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don’t let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right. You are my rock and my fortress. For the honor of your name, lead me out of this danger. Pull me from the trap my enemies set for me.” Psalms 31:1, 3-4 NLT
I used to love the old Action tv shows that came on through the week as a child. They were suspenseful. You were always wondering if the good guy would come out of the present dilemma. They would say something like, “will Batman make it out on time? Will the joker finally take down our loving hero? Stay tuned!”
Many of us feel like we are in our own drama, some scandal, some predicament that has happened in the first 48, some kind of impending legal issue and we are wondering will we make it out? The good news is that God is on our side! We just have to pray. Here’s what we pray:
I have come to you for protection, don’t let me be disgraced When we belong to God he will not let us be disgraced. God is gracious. He will make sure that his grace remains on his children. God will protect us from those who would try to remove our grace.
Save me for you do what is right. God will always do what is right for you in any given situation. God’s plans override other people’s agenda. It doesn’t matter what they had planned God will override it because he will save you for what is right. God has the last say so!
For the honor of your name, lead me out of this danger. Because we are God’s children many times God will pull us out of danger because we bear his name. What other people meant as a trap God will use as a platform to do the miraculous.
On all those old Action shows the Hero would be pulled out of the trap at the last minute. Today it may feel like there is no way out but get ready because God is about to pull you out of the trap that the enemy has set for you! Foiled again!!
Thank you for blocking the enemy. When my back was against the wall and it looked like it was over. You made a way! God work a miracle for my friends who find themselves in a bind, either by what they did or what someone planned. Work it out for their good and give them the victory for your namesake.
In Jesus Name,
