Doors of Opportunity

Doors of Opportunity

1 Corinthians 16:9 There is a wide-open door for a great work here, although many oppose me.

You can always tell when you are getting ready to cross over into greater because then increase of warfare is greater. If you are trying to accomplish anything great from God get ready for opposition. Dr. Kevin W. Cosby told me, “whenever you have position you will always have opposition!” You are positioned for greatness. Don’t be surprised by opposition.

Easter is symbolic of the ultimate open door. Jesus’ enemies wanted him to stay dead so they put two guards to watch over the entrance to his tomb. Not even soldiers could stop Jesus from walking out of that grave. Nothing can stop you, when you make up your mind to go through the open door God has for you.

The Apostle Paul wanted to go to Macedonia but he had an opportunity in Ephesus. He couldn’t leave until he walked through the door.

1. Open doors are about maximizing the opportunities in places of potential. Open doors don’t mean you walk into something already developed. Open doors mean you have an opportunity to go in and develop something to its fullest potential.

2. Open doors require great work. If you are going to be mediocre there’s no need to go through the door. This door requires exceptional work. Here’s the other thing, you can’t do great work without being connected to a great God. If God sends you through the door it’s going to be great.

3. Fight through the opposition. Paul had to fight through people on the inside and the outside of the door. He had people of his own faith and Gentiles. Whenever you are a pioneer you will always have people opposing what they don’t understand. It takes great faith and perseverance to press through people always pushing back on your advancement. Make sure you have more people around you who are pushing you forward than you do pushing you back. “Push back” from teammates is good as long as the motive is to help the team go forward and not hold the leader back because of fear. A house divided against itself cannot stand.

Peter believed in his leader JESUS and when he saw Peter’s faith, Jesus said, “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the forces of Hades will not overpower it.”

When you believe Jesus for who he is and what he says, “nothing and nobody can get in the way of the open door that God has for you.

Dear God,

Thank you for your open door policy. The open door you have shown me, I am ready to walk through. Many tried to block me but all their efforts couldn’t stop me. What you have for me, it is for me! God fulfill every promise so that all my blockers can see that you did this just for me! Manifest your promises and blow all of our minds. Bring to pass the vision on this house, this community, and this city!

In Jesus Name,
