Exodus 23:20 “See, I am sending an angel before you to protect you on your journey and lead you safely to the place I have prepared for you.”

The bible tells us that the steps of a righteous man are ordered. There is a destination that God has in mind for us and he intends on getting us there. It’s so important to God that we get there that he has assigned an angel for us to get to where we need to be.

I was watching the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, the extermination camp where close to a million Jews were incinerated. One survivor told the story of seeing her liberators coming in all white and she begin to thank God for the “angels” that he sent to rescue her.

God has heavenly Angels and earth Angels that he uses to liberate us. There are unseen Angels that do battle on our behalf with powers and principalities but there are also earthly Angels in the form of anointed leaders who’ve been sent to lead us.

Moses was an angel for the children of Israel as he liberated them from Egypt. God told them to follow the directions of his angel and not rebel against him.

1. The only way to get to where God wants to take you is for you to get into alignment with his angel. Whenever a car gets out of alignment it works against itself. When we are out of alignment with our “Angel” we are working against God who sent them to help you.

2. Do not rebel against your angel. Rebellion is open opposition to one in authority. When we rebel against God’s angel we are really rebelling against God’s authority. An individual or organization cannot go forward if the people are out of alignment with or in rebellion against its “Angel.” Jesus said, “a house divided against itself cannot stand.”

3. When we get in alignment God takes us to our place of promise and drives out our enemies. When we become detached from our angel we lose the ability to drive out those who oppose us. When we are in alignment the enemy will turn his back on us and run.

Today ask yourself, “who is my angel and am I in alignment?” Jesus likened pastors to Angels in the book of Revelations as he talked about the 7 Angels in the 7 churches. We would get to where we need to be a lot quicker with less warfare if we would just follow the Angels that God has sent to us. As we think about the imperfections of our leaders just remember the words of Beyoncé, “you’re no angel either baby!” God has sent us Leaders to liberate us that function as Angels but underneath those white garments they are just humans who’ve been sent to liberate you from the Devils concentration camps to the promised land. The enemies you see today you will see no more if you would just follow your angel.

Dear God,

Thank you for sending us Angels to deliver us from evil. This is the year of release but we have to get into alignment to receive. Remove rebellion from our spirits so that we can recognize the direction of our leaders. Help our country to stop fighting with our angel and start working with our angel. Take us into every promise you’ve spoken over us and remove every any that tries to oppose us. Liberate us today I pray!

In Jesus Name,
