Matthew 6:31-33 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

What’s dominating your mind? Have you ever been talking to someone and their mind is somewhere else? You can’t be effective when you are distracted with something.

Oftentimes we are distracted by worry. Jesus said that “Unbelievers” are distracted by worry. What am I going to eat? How am I going to pay my rent when all my money is spent? I got a light bill due! My baby needs a pair of shoes!

What shall we do? Jesus says, “don’t worry about these things! God already knows what you need. The pivotal solution to worry is belief. Do you believe that Jesus will work it out?! If you are a believer in Jesus Christ here’s what you need to do.

  1. Stop worrying and start praying. Matthew 6:31-33 Matthew 7:7-8 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives, everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
  1. Seek first the Kingdom of God. In other words make God a priority in your life. Don’t put God last and think everything is going to work out. What gets the most of your time? What gets the most of your resources? Whatever it is that becomes your god.
  1. Live righteously. When you live right the responsibility of your provision falls on God. God is obligated to take care of you when you are in his will. if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

Dear God,

I am not going to worry today but I’m going to believe that you have my best interest in mind. I’m going to spend my energy getting in line with your will and living right. I know that you will provide all my needs according to your riches in Glory!

In Jesus Name,

Amen
