Matthew 14:30-31 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, ‘Lord, save me!’ Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. ‘You of little faith,’ he said, ‘why did you doubt?’

With the help of God you have been able to accomplish some pretty amazing things in your life. It’s amazing that you have made it this far. Look at the people you started out with and where you are in life. At one time you had great faith but somewhere between them and now you’ve started to sink.

Peter did something amazing. He walked on the water with Jesus during a bad storm. That’s the part people leave out of the story. We get the part that he walked on water but we leave out the storm. What’s amazing about your story is that you trusted God to step out when it was storming. But now you find your self sinking. Sinking In debt. Sinking into a depression. Sinking into isolation all because of stinking thinking.

Peter was ok as long as he didn’t focus on the storm. It’s the same with you.

1.  When you step out of the boat make sure Jesus is the one who called you out. If Jesus calls you out he will give you the ability to stay afloat.

2.  Don’t get distracted by what was already happening when you stepped out. This isn’t new it just got louder. The devil is trying to intimidate you with loudness. Stay focused and ignore the negative.

3.  If you start sinking cry out to Jesus. Jesus immediately reached out and lifted Peter up. Jesus will not let you drown. He’s watching you the whole time. Get rid of this negative thinking. You still have the ability to walk out of impossible situations. Keep your eyes on Jesus!

Dear God,

Thank you for giving me the ability to walk on water. Help me to drown out what’s trying to drown me. I know you will get me through this storm and I will be victorious.

In Jesus Name,
