- Nia means purpose
- “to make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness”
You were put here for a purpose. Nia is the word for purpose that we acknowledge this day of Kwanzaa. God wants each of us to know our Nia or purpose. God told Jeremiah, “Before you were in your mother’s womb you had purpose.” We don’t come into this world by accident but by purpose. God sent you here for something and to something.
- All things are working for your good. Everything that you are going through is an ingredient that God is using to shape your purpose. No pain has been wasted. It’s being used for your purpose. Even though you don’t understand it now it will make sense later.
- Your purpose becomes clear when you love God. In God we move live and have our being. Outside of God nothing makes sense. It is only in our surrender to God that we finally discover our purpose.
- Our purpose becomes productive when we come together with other people. Our purpose is our collective vocation coming together to make our communities better. Think about ever person in the bible and in history that had purpose. They made their people, community, and world better.
What is your purpose?
Thank you for putting me here for a purpose. I recognize now why I had to go through what I went through. You are intentional! All things are working for my good and I will walk in my purpose today!
In Jesus Name,
