backLuke 11:9-10 ‘So, I say to you: ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.’

Prayer is not passive. You hear a lot of people use prayer as a trump card to passivity or as a conversational segue. Prayer is a powerful tool when used the right way.

  1. Ask for it. Jesus said, “Ask and it shall be given.” Many times we have not because we ask not. When we ask we have to believe that we are going to get what we asked for.
  2. Look for it. After we ask for it we have to go looking for it. Prayer is not passive; it is a passport to that which you seek. You have to live with the expectancy that God is going to honor your requests.
  3. Go for it! After you pray it’s time to go knocking on some doors. Instead of waiting for opportunity to knock go knock on some doors! There are some opportunities waiting for your knock.

Dear God,

Thank you for answering so many of my prayers. You are an intentional God. I don’t have to worry because it’s working for me! I’m going to get what you sent me!

Thank you Jesus!
