One of the surest ways to stop complaining amongst a group of people is productivity. Without vision the people will cast off restraint. When you are busy fulfilling vision you will not have time to entertain murmurs and negativity.
The children of Israel murmured against Moses for just about everything. They complained about his wife, his inability to get them what they wanted to eat, the length of their journey. They forgot that Moses was instrumental in delivering them from slavery. God got sick of the people murmuring against Moses. He asked all 12 tribes to present a staff to Moses. God told them that the staff that budded would be the tribe that was to lead. When he put all the staffs in the chest and looked the next day, Aaron’s staff budded, blossomed, and produced almonds!
This is how you stop grumbling in your organization.
- Look for budding new staff. Look for people who are budding with potential not just taking up space. The staff has to, at bare minimum have some buds on it. Any staff that isn’t budding is part of the problem not the solution.
- Look for staff that are blossoming. Are they still growing in their current position? Sometimes people can be with you so long that they become entrenched and stop blossoming.
- They produce against all odds. There was no way Aaron’s staff should have budded much less produced almonds. But that’s God! An anointed staff will produce whereas an ordinary staff will conform to the environment it’s placed in. An anointed staff transforms culture instead of complaining about the culture.
If you want to change the culture where you work or worship then you have to bud (realize your potential), blossom (make a commitment for personal development), and blossom (produce something amazing with the help of God)!
Thank you for blessing me with an anointed staff. Please surround me with people who are producing and not murmuring. Help me to be an innovator and not a complainer. Thank you for allowing me to produce against all odds.
